ERR CD

Clearly this translates to ERROR CD... but only when using a CD in the head unit. The CD changer in my 182 works fine.

Anyone know whats wrong with it, and if there's a quick fix?

probably a problem with the mechanism or laser in the HU.

Probably relates to not being able to read the disc.. Could be a dirty lazer.. Got any cleaning discs knocking about? Even if its a dvd one, whip it in, it will spin up to try and read the data (not that it will) but the bristles will run over the lens a few times none the less, hopefully clean it up, if that is the problem anyways.

we sell those cleaning discs at work... I'll try one later, before buying it of course

Good stuff.. Found mine kept getting a bit sh!t after a while, the amount of dust that get attracted to a CD is a disgrace, I always cleaned mine before playing.. I just have a MP3 and iPod head unit now.. No more dusty discs

Good info, I will have to try that as mine is starting to spit discs out randomly.

The type of CD can cause it, mine sometimes does this with CD-Rs or CD-RWs.
