Erratic idle on my 51 plate 172

Hey folks,

Bought a 51 plate 172 the other day. really chuffed with it so far and lovin the way it drives. I'm new to Sports so not sure what to look for. The only thing I'm puzzled about is the erratic idle. Engine seems to be hunting but it's not too bad. Tried cleaning the K&N filter in petrol. Sprayed intake cleaner where I could but don't think it went right in.

any tips on what could be causing the erratic idle?

everything else is fine, no complaints so far

if its only a rough idle its normal

Depends how bad it is really. They all shake and hunt a little on idle. They're all lumpy and hesitant when accelerating until the engine is warmed up a bit which you'll probably notice next.

yup normal, have had two, both erratic idle, shouldnt stall or anything just lumpy idle
