Yep I know that would love a metro 6r4 they look rediculous but are f**king mad.

Does that mean in reality it is a 6R4 engine considering the layout (gearbox etc.) would suit the Escort much better?

Still cool though... but you have to question why, what is wrong with the YB?

not as cool as when jag put the running gear into a transit to hide it while testing, its been sold on now

The car belonged to Derek Tyndall (think its him on the left hand side of the 2nd picture). Dad supplied him with the engine for the car as well as lots of other bits. Can't remember all that well though as I was so young. He raced it at Castle Combe in what I would guess would be the saloon car championship.

if its a 6r4 lump its got the jag headers on... as the 6r4 ran na afaik and alot of 6r4 owners stick the inlets and headers off of the jag to make it boooosted :D
