esp really does work!

3 times now i have towed it around roundabouts with it off and the 3 times i had it off the car understeered. ok is it me or does the esp really make the car stick to the road that much better? also the speed @ which i go around the round abouts is +/- 5mph with it on or off.

only time i get it to do it is standstill sharp left or right full throttle round a wet bend.

yeah same here it will falsh when the light is off on the dash board and active by the prgram if ya get what im saying.

cant wait to test the system out when i get my car through! Even tho its a 1.4, i am sure i will be able to find a wet road somewhere thats greasy to give it a go, safely.

As for ESP, I noticed it pull my 172 away from a kerb I was sliding towards, I was in control, ESP decided I wasnt. For that particular corner, my Valver was upto 10mph quicker than a 172 with ESP switched on!!

ESP is not on the 1.4,its only on cliosport models

Its only there for dodgy drivers who dont know how to get out of sticky situations. FWD cars dont tend to get in to them unless you push the car VERY hard. Used to fly round corners in my valver and it hardly flinched.

Try hammering it round a bend with 235 bhp through the rear wheels and no form of traction control what so ever. The one time I forgot myself and kept my foot planted on the fun pedel was the one time I got it totally sideways.

does it work when the light doesnt come on.I mean my light flashes when I set off fast in 1st but has never come on round the corner at speed.does the light light up round corners

I think its actually there for every driver who has to take last minute, split second evasive manouvers on a motorway at 80mph in the wet.
