Quick question - when the ESP light is on the dashboard does that mean ESP is on or off?

if light is on the esp is off

Yeah when its on the dash constantly its off tho when its flashing you're giving the car too much out of a corner or its 'letting go' mid corner..

Thanks guys - do you find that the TC hardly ever kicks in? Comapred to my friend's MINI Cooper S JCW my traction never seems to come on and I just seem to spin!

The TC on my 182 was never that intrusive but on the 197 it seems to be constantly flashing when 'pressing on'..
