EURO CLIO OWNERS!

  145db Euro'd clio
mk2 ph1. wan to go euro. Can do ajority of work myself but need to know how i fully smooth my front bumper? just fibreglass it? im a little worried that it would crack at some point especially if i lowered it with a hard ride the jerking from the road might loosen the firbe glass. any help will be appreciated. :)

Fibreglass or body filler mate.
Dont worry, the road will not loosen the fibreglass... your only trouble is if you knock something as fibreglass is very brittle.

Have you ever done fibre glassing before?

the plate recess? body lines and fogs? I did my plate recess using fibre glass and filler, in hindsight I would plastic weld it as ive already had to re-pair cracks once, and it's just cracked again although that may be because some tit reversed into me! as for the body lines and fogs I just used filler and its seemed to be alright, no cracks as of yet and i smoothed them well over a year ago.

yeah head over to my project thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=414819 you'll see that i have filled the groove in the front bumper and i also repaired a crack in my bumper. plus i have done plenty of other things using filler so i would say im at a good level of body work(especially for my age! lol)
If by body lines you mean like were the black plastic bumper strips fit to the rest of the bumper then yeah thats were i am talking about. how long did it take you to do? im really thinking about doin it but dont want to f**k my bumper up by just plastering it with filler. would you reccomend the davids glass fibre sheets with the resin? or just straightforward davids p40 then p38 to follow to get dead smooth? Cheers for the help :)

cant remember what fibre galss I used, but it wasnt sheets, it was like filler where you add hardner to it and I used U-Pol Easy sand P38 think, by the body lines i meen the lines in the bumper that run through the middle of the top bulge (where the number plate goes) took me about a day to do

oh right, yeah ive done the body lines already, still got to do the rear bumper though! especially as stupid dickhead at halfords chipped my brand new 3 day old paint work after dragging my sub outt to have a look at my amp and he just lent it on the bumper. i went f*cking nuts

ive colour coded the front of mine,
want to get a pressed metal plate a little smaller,

had a flush boot but hated it,

not sure what to do, ive got a 172 bumper on atm, and its quite smooth as it is, might just paint the insert gloss black to go with my 172 spoiler,

got some replica side skirts im debating with too,
