I read the autocar car of the year feature. They make out that it's a great car with a poor drivetrain, the box being the worst part.

That's the weird bit, autocar did last year! They said the chassis is so good, it still came 4th.

The gear box can't let it down that much surley? Guess the only way to would be to drive one.

I am sure Justin will be about to express his opinion.

I still prefer the shape and looks of the exige S2.

Awesome! This is a good Video on it, you've probably seen it Rob.

As for the gearbox, nothing wrong with it IMO, not brilliant, but not exactly bad. No complaints for me, and remember its not meant to be a track car, its a GT car with the option to go on track..

It doesn't like to be rushed into 3rd, but I'm not one for abusing it anyways. Yes, it may not as good as a GT3RS, but the car is half the price. Its no worse than any other I've used... I think one problem the Evora has is, its chassis and balance are so good, that everyone expects everything else to be as good. Bit more power, more noise (?!better gearbox?!) and it'd be an absolute stormer.

I'll second Justin and say that the gearbox isn't that bad at all. Driven a couple now and neither was notably poor.

It really is a great car and handles like a Lotus should......its just the build quality that needs improving, although its not Europa poor thats for sure.
