have just been given an exaust(just the back box) and was wondering how much agro its going to be getting the old one off and the new on

If it's a standard system it's all one piece unfortunatly. When my exhaust started blowing reno told me they would have to replace it from the cat back, so I told them to poke it and got a custom S/S system. Have a look at your system it's probably rotten anyway so at least you'll only have to buy the centre section.
