Excel 2000



Guys, can someone tell me how i put a 'tick' in a box on a worksheet - this is driving me nuts - i thought it was 'insert' 'symbol' and then select it from the list!!! But the insert symbol command isnt even there!

How do i do it!!? lol thanks

Go to your Character Map...somewhere off your start menu in accessories/sytem tools.

Look through all the available fonts, and find one with a tick/cross.

Click copy...then paste into Excel to see what the actual character is i.e. 4 or 8 or whatever.

Then change the font...and you should have what you're after.
