exchange 2k3 message tracking ?



is there any easy way to track where someone is sending e-mails ?

just need to basically log where one user is emailing stuff

Exhchange 2003 has a message tracking module as standard, can't for the life of me remember what it's called but it logs sender/recipient/time/subject etc.

+ you can run reports

No problemo, if you want a proper (and very cheap) archiving solution, check out Mimecast. We implemented it recently, project went like a dream, and basically just amounted to us having to change some MX records, then handled the rest.

Very very impressive though, can search my archive (held at their datacentre) in half the time I can search my Inbox (held 10m away), they use some sort of 1337 grid structure.

Came in at around £60 per employee, per annum and basically means we can set fire to our exchange server (with a few changes prior), no more worries about applying patches to Exchange!
