its about a half hour 45mins to walk from the gym id say but theres a few shops in the high street if you waanted to look round or theres bus that runs near there to the shell garage near gym you could bus it to there then 5 mins walk to the gym

Excellent, quoted £35 which seems fair, just hope the exhaust arrives before my MOT this week!

I did think about asking if they could do the MOT too but I've already booked it into Renault for that so I could get the free breakdown cover by getting it done at a Renault dealer...

I had an advisory on my exhaust last year at the MOT, just rusty though not sure how bad?? (pics from last year were on here somewhere) anyway I decided to change it in advance - car's 4 now and still on the original exhaust.

ahhh i see yeh id replace it i woulndt take it to renault for mot though they will find a charge for ya so that break down cover isnt really free lol but you never know they might be ok i never trust renault after my last experince hope it all goes well:race:

Not sure if it was because I was female but I found these guys to be a total rip off!!!!! Full of bullshit, upped the price and just generally unpleasant!

Don't worry not your fault, as I say, I think it's because I'm female.... I wasn't sure at first but after talking to some other very knowledgeable 182 owners it confirmed my fears...

He upped the cost to £150 just to put a standard Janspeed exhaust on, claiming it would take so much longer than 30 mins and £35 (as he quoted originally) as my standard Renault exhaust was in one piece so to cut it off would take ages - he would only reduce the cost to £90 if I paid cash and therefore would not give a receipt. Claimed he needed 2-2.5 hrs though he reduced this estimate to 1hr 15 when I debated it when I went back and told him my ex was a mechanic who couldn't understand just why he claimed it would take so long. The tailpipes weren't straight but I was so livid by the time I left, I commented on it and got some more b****cks off him. I didn't appreciate being told that people buy these things having no idea about them blah blah blah. Just a really horrible experience and I wished I'd taken a man with me to answer him back... :dapprove:

thats really bad maybe it because your female they like doin cash deals by the sound of it i had to have my cv boot replaced and funny enough he charged me 90 pound cash to put a new clip on and that was with a mot maybe i wont be goin bk after the way treated you i know a few people who go there and i will be soon putting them off them aswell
