Exhaust help...Please !!

  BMW M3
Had a new Janspeed back box put on about a month ago and was sure it was blowing somewhere but didnt really know what that should sound like.

Anyway, discovered a puddle of condensation coming from a couple places where the exhaust joins and at one spot can feel the fumes coming out... so i guess thats my problem. Its just i thought it should be loud as its before the silencer but its just a hissing. Is this right?

But ive had the car up and been underneath and everything seems sound. I even took all the fixings off and put them back on to check. Plus put thus putty sealer where i felt the air coming from. (air coming from half rounded bracket type thing)

And it still hisses !!!

Anyone have any ideas.

Should i just take it back to place that fitted it. I just feel its simple enough for me to fix.

Thanks

where the 2 sections join there will be cuts in the pipework in either 2 or 4 places to facilitate fittong, you need to make sure the section with the 'cuts' in it is knocked all the way home into the next section otherwise it will blow out from the cuts..........ya catch mar drift....

Yeah.... i noticed those little cuts but from what i could see, there was metal on the other side so didnt think i was that.

However, on reflection, i bet its that as that would explain why it hisses with everything tightened up.

Well, might just go back to the garage then.

Cheers bud.
