Exhaust manifold cover?

Can this be taken off on a mk1 1.4 energy engine and left off as gonna be fitting a relocation induction kit and this may get in the way, also does it have to have the warm air hosing to it???

dde you should have just asked!!!
U can take this off i did on mine its only a warm air hose which doesnt really do anything. in fact it will affect perofrmance as its drawing warm air into the engine!!!
Just get it off and dont worry bout it mate!!

Cheers mate!!!was just a bit bothered just went to have a look to see what needs doing to fit it!!
also another question is there a whole in the relocation kit for the breather hose comming out the cam cover~?if thats what its called???
