Exhaust mixing? possible?

I know this sounds stupid but is it possible to fit a 1.2, 1.4 etc centre section to the exhaust of a 172 cup?

not that i want to do it, but i had the centere section of the exhaust replaced by renault and wanted to check they havnt put on a inferiour exhaust on it, as thet didnt order the part in..
