exhaust pulley

i'm in the process of doing dephaser and timing belt but i'm really struggling with the exhaust pulley nut, i can't got it undone, and there's not enoug room to get my breaker bar on it! Any tips please?

Jack the engine up im sure you can get it on, not done one for ages tho so not 100% sure.

If the pulleys are locked, as bongy says you should be having to jack the engine up and down loads, just crack it up so you can get enough room there's definitely plenty

I can get a ratchet and socket on it, but just cant get enough pressure on that. my breaker bar is just too big, i think i need one of them tools which has a half inch drive on it and you put an extension bar through it and use it as a bar.

I definately used to crack them off with a breaker bar and a short 18mm socket, there is room!

i managed to fit it on the end, i must of wasted an hour atleast on that damn bolt.

I ended up wedging wood down the back of the engine against the bulkhead to take away the movement when i was trying to crack it off.
