exhaust question

hey guys,

ive just picked up my 182 and its exhaust is as id call stupid loud.

having looked its decat then to a box then splits to the twin silencer out the back

i had a decat on my 306 HDI and that didnt make it louder

my question is will adding a cat make it quieter?

Yes a cat will make it quieter but its a bit messy shoving them in the exhaust.

HDI pugs ain't loud anyway as the turbo makes them quieter.

cheers mate, having a CAT fitted tomorrow would love to know what exhaust is on the car hopefully have a look tomorrow weather permitting
