Exhaust question

having searched, i've need some advise. my 172 back box has just fallen off (seems to be a common thing) i would change the system but i cant undo the cat connecting bolts (rusted).

does anyone know if i can fit a magnex (or smiluar) back box directly onto the existing pipe that i am left with. it has snapped right at the box.

this way i can get it change one evening this week and be back on the road.

any thoughts appricated

this happened to my cup@only20k,cut the bolts off cos you probly wont be able to use
them again anyway and get some new nuts n bolts from b+q or motor factors.
put a system on if you can itll save you money as the middle section aint much cop
either and itll gain more flow too.call around stainless system makers etc you should
get a custom job for £275, ala 182 style twin pipes out,much better than a magnex
thatll fall apart faster than the origional.
