Exhaust Sleeves

Hi all

Was just wondering if an exhaust sleeve can effect a cars performance by disrupting the vacuum that sucks the air out of the exhaust. Also, are there any other problems they could cause, or are they safe

You know the strap ons you get for normal exhausts???

Well, when emissions come out of the exhaust, they create a vacuum so that the next lot are sucked out, if this is disrupted then the emissions have to be forced out by the engine reducing performance. This can often be the case when a performance exhaust with a bor that is too big is used.
