lookin to get new exhaust system,Isit worth gettin a decat pipe? what diff if any?

been looking at the rs192,alot of ppl have been saying yozza,got a quote of longlife for 450 an thats with decat an he said you can just take decat off for mot and put cat back on,not really a problem because can get mot for it either way,any ideals buddy?
