Existing bolts , has anyone got them reconditioned galvanised ?

Car  clio 172
Has anybody done anything with various nuts and bolts prior to rebuilding car ?

Not sure what sort of money people charge and any recommendations ?

Yeah you can and easy to get done, but all i sould say is do not do this on critical fasteners.
Non critical fasteners are fine, you'll just have to clean them up as much as possible on a wire wheel first in order to get the best results.
Critical fasteners i would only use new as i would want to run the risk of nitrogen embrittlement on a re plated fastener.

Ref cost; my local platers have a small wastepaper basket sized pot and you can fill it and they usually charge £20 cash.

It’s something I have always wanted to sort. But never get around to finding somewhere local...if anyone knows a supplier around Gloucestershire/Worcestershire hit me up!

You know you can have them de-embrittled? Most platers can offer it.

What are you looking for a fasteners or a platers?

Somewhere that can replate the OE bolts locally ideally mate. Do you know somewhere?
Most places will have a minimum charge but we work with a few local businesses that I can suggest. What type of plating do you want?

You can get plating kits for small parts, done some of this, it's a bit involved though.

That's always interested me as I've seen many do it over on detailing world but as you said looks a lot involved.
