existing sky customer...can i upgrade to sky plus?

don't know mate, give them a ring, if you've been with them 9 years they may do something. unsure if there are any offers on at the moment. just going by what the site says, give them a ring and find out sometime

Just upgraded got sky+, box cost me £99 and installation was £30 which i think is cheaper as a customer

I think you are meant to pay... but my friends dad was in a similar situation, had been a long term customer and said "I have paid you £xxx over the past xxx years. Either you give it to me for free or I am leaving". Suffice to say he got it for free and also a free second box for his study. This was when the box was brand new too.

If you phone up and ask for one for free, they'll say no, say OK fine I'll go to Virgin, put me through to cancellations, they'll get on their knees and unzip your pants to make you stay, hey ho, free Sky + box (worked for me)

Sky want EVERYONE on Sky+ I think.. as once you have it, you very rarely would want to get rid.
It's one of those things you wonder how you coped before without.. so it makes sense for them to get you on +

Its usually £99, but they do offer it for £50 if you try.

Although if you want to be devious kick off and complain to the supervisor like I did you could get it for free.

Also they have got rid of the extra tenner a month as of the 1st july.

The £49 installed offer is most often supplied with refurbished equipment, it's sometimes better to have them stipulate on the job sheet that you will bet a brand new Sky+ box.
