Expert help needed on wheel fitment

Car  VW Golf S 1.4
quote: The front wheels are 7 1/2 J x 18 ET 50 and are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40/ZR 18
The rear wheels are 9J x 18 ET 52 and are fitted with 265/35/ZR 18

These came off a porsche 5x130

i have a VW golf mk4 5x100 and know that i can get pcd adaptorts from venom sport that will conver 5/100 to 5/130 and correct centre bore etc but im a little confused with the offset business can anyone tell me if there is going to be a problem with a 25mm pcd adaptor and these wheels??!!

The fronts will sit 15mm further out and the rears 17mm further out than standard.

so, assuming the wheels clear the arches ok. you can use spacers if you need to move them out a bit. just remember you'll need longer bolts too!

As Daz + Fred said but...

Won't the PCD converters act as massive spacers? I think they will both sit very far out of the arches and I would have thought you'd certainly need your arches rolled.

^ i've just realised that too! with 25mm pcd converters the fronts should be 10mm out and the rears should be 8mm out.

you might get away with that, you need to measure the clearance as it is now. might be worth taking the car to a decent garage and asking too?

cheers for the advice, theres these real nice porsche bbs wheels i want on ebay at the moment and they finish tomoro :dapprove: so i dunno what im going to do!!!

i know a lot of people use the porsche wheels on vw's, try calling jabbasport, awesome gti, c&r or prabably venom themselves. there will be someone at one of them with the answer, and in my experience they are all very helpfull.
