Has anyone arranged extended warranty ie after the Renault warranty expires?

Im tninking of using a company called warranty wise what do you think?

Cheers Stuart

Nobody..........................its for a V6............................£650 for 3years with Warranty Wise!

Cheers Stuart

im extending mine with reno, everything is covered jsut like the original 3 years. its areno harmony warranty and is costing me £498 for 1 extra year.

worth it IMO.

Hi Rog................my local Reno dealer says £595 for 1year and £995 for 2years and thats also Harmony.......................wierd eh!

Cya Stuart

Dont bother IMO the Renault one would be the one to buy if you could but even thats not worht it.

The amount they cover is minimal and since wear and tear can be blamed for most stuff then they wont pay out.

Hi edde......................the Warranty Wise price includes wear & tear and MoT cover aswell.

They also say that they dont give a list of parts either covered because it covers everything.

Make sure you get this on paper there exact desciption. And what the exess is or the amount of times you can claim.

They could say broke parts are down to the weather ie driving in the rain caused it to rust etc.

There buusinesses dont foget so are out to make money Id stick the £ in the bank least if you dont claim your £ up.

my reno harmony booklet lists everything it covers and its got everything on there that i can think of.

obviously i have no experience of what its like to claim, but toomey reno said its the same as the current warranty, if a prob arises i give them the car and they fix it - ofcourse he could be taking sh1t.

edde, shall i get it for £498, my car has had a few problems now, driveshaft, gbox, and it would give me piece of mind - gearbox was £2100! - glad i didnt pay!

I wouldnt personally but its up to you.

You can buy bits for less than Renault sell them.

You might have just had a bad few bits and never have any more problem for the next 3yrs but then again this is why companies sell warenties as they get you worried. You might not have needed new shafts just a new £20 cover would have done. Do you intend to keep the car for 3yrs though?

edde,

i wont keep it for 3 years myself, but either way i spoke to reno today whilst collecting my car, and they made it clear that it IS a genuine warranty, and if anything fails thats on the list (includes everything) then it is covered the same way it is now.

for £498 its piece of mind, and ive decided to go for it. avoid the 3rd party warranty companies though, i deal with them (warranty direct) myself at work and they never want to pay out, i have to always argue it with them.
