extending rear track?

I've fitted 195/45/16 to my ET45 trophy wheels fitted to a 182.

The track looks quite thin now due to the tyre size i believe, its lowered quite a bit on H&R's but there is still enough room to extend the track a fair bit.

It's either 5mm or 8mm hubcentrics ?

Anyone got any input on which i should go for, at the moment my handling is very neutral, lift off over steer on demand, but not twitchy.

Cheers Rob

why not 205's?? you'll get a 5mm spacer on, but i don't think anyone does a hubcentric in 5mm

Im looking into this too while running 195/50/15's and i think eibach do 5mm hubcentric ones but are rediculously expensive :(

Cause in my experience with my car ive had 205 PE2s and 195 eagle F1;s so far and notice far less tramlining with 195's and still have as much grip, plus there about 140 pounds cheaper..

slightly off topic, but...

If i was to fit spacers to my 172 ph1 with standard alloys front and rear would i need longer wheel bolts or could i use the same bolts?also would widening the track of the car ruin the handling?

only want wider track for looks, car handles fine as it is

mk1 172 has a wide track already, but only due to the offset of the wheels (ET 37/38 wheels) 182 has a wider mechanical track but a lower offset wheel (ET45)

  f**ked ph1 172
^^ I'm running 10mm spacers on the rear on a ph1 and it scrubs very slightly but mine is loww..

So would there be an advantage to be had with a 182 rear axle on a ph1? are they any stiffer?
