extra power from cup

advise on best way to increase power!!! what will a full stainles system give me..what about this chip jobby..cheers everyone

500 quid on a chip, exhaust and sealed induction will give about 10bhp. Not much for the money, but its all about drivability, you wont really get up to speed any faster, but it can drive nicer.

chip and exhaust dont really do anything on the 172/cup, its all about inlet temps.

sh*t mate you know your stuff!!!!! thanks for the advise i will the little sh*t standard? would like an exhaust though just to finish the back end off..any suggestions

Um, im very partial to supersprints simply because they are designed and tested units, fit perfectly and are quality items. I dont rate many other manufacturers.

But you wont get a power gain or anything, the std system raelly is that good, the only restriction being the HUGE rear silencer. We tested one with a diff exhaust and get a peasly 2bhp....so......

to get any sort of real power gains, you really really have to work on the inlet system, the engine is perfectly good apart from that.

cheers ben how much for a supersprint and what tailpipe designs are there? not really looking for gains or stupid loud sound but i think the cup and 172 need an exhaust to finish the back end off like the civic type r...not load are they..can you get a tailpiipe grafted on the original xhaust or would that look gay
