im using soundforge at the moment! but when soundforge is running the equaliser levels are not moving at all its as if its not recognising it etc ....

Thinking i might need a new soundcard then???

click on project directory, then record audio data make sure that the mic is selected as the line in

clart i have done that, 1 of the green lights is moving up slightly when the record is playing, but once stopped recording it doesnt play any sound back!!WTF

try changing the device that is used to record the sound. if the levels are moving then at least ur getting a signal into the PC

doing the same on sound forge too! its picking something up but not sure what lol.....

would i be better off getting something off www.HTFR.com that'll sort it all automaticlly?

like what? theres no reason it won't work, you just have to be a bit technically minded and try different things. try changing the output on the back of the mixer to line out - also check ur recording levels within feurio and on the mixer, try turning stuff up

you sure your mixer doesnt have a trim on the line out which may need turning up?
