Fallen out with with the 200 :(

Last sunday the 200 decided to throw a complete hissy fit. went to pull away revs wouldn't go over 3000 and the accelerator stopped working completely (twice) second time it happened was when I pulled onto a duel carriageway trying to speed up when the accelerator gave up the revs dropped and the engine cut out.

Car was recovered on sunday night to the dealers and a week later still can not get to the bottom of the problem.

not a happy chappy and I have a 1.4tdci fiesta to use in the mean time :dapprove:

Maybe a sticky thread with faults people have found on the 200's would be a good idea. If this happens to a few it may aid time in finding a solution.

There is a simular thread about 200 faults on another forum but i have seen none with this issue. Most are paint runs and auto windscreen wiper issue.

I hope you get to the bottom of it.

Mate my 200 was a nightmare, locked me in the car 3 times for about 20 mins each time!!

Aux belts got changed 4 times lol

lol I have asked for my money back since we can't get to the bottom of the problem. looking ever so likely I won't own the car soon.

both dealer and RUK agree there is a safety issue with it, they just cant work out what it is
