Not sure if it has been posted before but I would 100% recommend anyone to follow the steps in this guide to reduce their car insurance.
I think everyone should have a go regardless of whether their insurance is due or not, as the savings you could make, make it worth the switch.

I'll give you my scenario....
I was paying £1700 on my 172 when I first got it as a 20 y/o with 3 years no claims, paid monthy at about £170 p/m. That was with Kwik-Fit, didn't really shop around at the time as I needed insurance straight away, was already with them, and they were by far the cheapest with my RSi, so assumed it would be similar on the 172.
Anyway, when I turned 21, I thought I would have a go at requoting myself to see if the change in age made any difference (nothing else had changed btw). Followed the above guide and managed to bring my insurance down to just over £700, or £68 p/m, with Churchill, saving me over £100 p/m
