Sorry to bother you, with mundane issues.

My clio (1.216v) runs really bad when cold , and runs slightly rough when warm but its barely noticable then.

i changed the plugs which were mashed, but thats not fixed the problem.

Any ideas?

I need to sell it quick sharp.

Explaina tad more Tom. What do you mean by bad when cold and rough when warm. Is it lumpy, chokes, stalls, stutters, spits back, loss of power, funny noises?

Lumpy and it splutters a bit too. loss of power and the exhaust stinks of fuel (sometimes) but once the engine heats up its fine.

Ok. will have a go with those.

i thought it might be the lambda Cheers

you cna check your lambda supply voltages with a multimeter if you wish.

when hot it should be around the 0.5v mark

If it reads and supplies incorrect info to the ECU, the ECU in term will supply incorrect fueling.

most running faults on the 1.2 d4f engine are cured by reprogramming.there are a lot of tech notes about running faults that your dealer will have access to and most of the repairs are petrol injection reprogramming.the output from a lambda sensor is-on the sensor before the cat the voltage will fluctuate between 200mv and 800mv.the sensor after the cat should have a constant output of about 600mv.
