Ran at Gerotek.

1st run 196.200km/h (backing off before the banked corner)

2nd run 196.720km/h (flat out all the way)

I think Im not getting any higher because of the 16" 205/45 wheels.

Strange thing is my revs were holding 5,500rpm...one would think that once the 172 is in the power band it would accelerate

That is excellent!! How did your tyres hold up? What was the best speed of the day?

I only did a 192km/h, but I was never flat out all the way. I backed off before the second banked corner each time. Coming out of the first corner I was doing 200+ but the second corners got a nasty bump half way that rattled me a bit. The car never felt unstable at any time.

Lots of fun, but one needs an extra set of tyres.

If my insurance covered my car at events like these I would have pushed it flat out all the way.

On Saturday the highest speed was set by a Superboss at 248.

Sunday was rained out tho.

I havent checked my tyres byt they seem ok.

From speaking to one of the VW challange driver you just drive below the big bump...which seemed to work, but the car got a little loose exiting the bend.

I didnt check my tyre pressure before the event which might explain why I was maxing out at 196km/h
