FAO Guy S (Fuel rail query)

Guy,

I know you took yours off to polish it recently (top job btw) but wondered what the fixing detail was to the engine block as mine for some reason is loose and not rattles about like a skeleton having a w**k in a discuit tin, which is a concern, so just hoping i can get the damn fine fixed back on.

Im not sure what is holding it in place at the moment, but it wont come out, i tried, but i think it may be the two lines from the engine cover that are holding it in place.

When i let the clutch out and hardly any power (ie labouring) it rattles off very badly, so needs attention - hence the query

any enginer bayers please advise as well.

cheers

** bump **

and update removed the enginer cover (cheers 16v clio!) and drum roll - theres only the engine cover holding it in place!

bag o shite!! this problem has been from when it was in at reno getting an engine rattle fixed. Bad stuff imo.

is it a 10 socket to secure it and what bolts is it?

2 ah - i thought it might have been 3, well anyway mine has 0! so the engine cover is holding it in place so it rattles like F!!

pretty annoying

take it off then till you can get two bolts.

have you removed it once? as the bolts may have fell off the studs but still be inside the recess?

aye took it off last night, no bolts in the recess. Its doing my head in!!

Not sure of anyone who would have the bolts - any pics of the size?
