Just looking at your boot install in the gallery. Im getting one of those Type R alpine subs next month. Are you quite pleased with it? Very tidy boot install must say, do that yourself?

What have you used to inclose your amp?

Im thinking of laying my install similar to yours. so at least ill still have some boot space.

Alright mate,

Yeah, i was told its one of the best 12" subs you can get for the money! I think its pretty damn good. Ive heard it against my mates 12" JL and its better in my opinion. Its much sharper and goes a lot lower. You will be pleasantly surprised at how nice it sounds.

As for my install, i did it in 5 days, before that last Southend meet in the beginning of August! It was actually quiet tricky cause the shape of the boot has more curves than Anna Kournicova! I was gonna put hydraulic lifts on so gettin the spare tyre out was easy, but couldnt get hold of any. So i plonked a massive piece of MDF on top with hidden handles so its a one-lift job to get to the wheel. What you need to do is firstly put on a base piece of MDF, and make sure its got room below for wires!! Then build supports around perimeter. This is where your top is gonna rest! Then just screw your amps onto the base! Also try to make a plan of action for what your gonna do, cause you wont believe the amount of trouble you get into when u do it without planning. Also try to install some fans cause the amps get sh!t hot under there!

But other than that, it was ok for 3 people. If u need any help give us a shout! Good luck

Hon
