FAO Little Newms V6 handling

Car  Clio v6

My most expert opinion on V6 handling.

Mk1 : Sure footed and sticks to corners so much its boring. The car is quick.

Mk2 : Wibbly wobbly in the clouds and does weird unexpected twitchy things mid corner. The car is a lot quicker.

James does your V have a tendency to start snaking at the rear over about 5k revs? Mines always doing it and it scares the sh*t out of me, so much so i darent put my foot down.

Jeremy had the inside front practically off the taramac out of the last corner at Brand yesterday. I saw this as I was stuck to his rear bumper. :D

My most expert opinion on V6 handling.

Mk 2 : sure footed, fabulous grip from the rear, need to be a little careful entering the bend to avoid oversteer, need to also allow the car to settle mid bend, to avoid understeer but once the cars in, the grip at the back allows you come out of the bend very quickly

The going in and the coming out is the easy bit, just what happens in between is interesting  I almost had my brown interior :D

And im talking about a dry straight road.

Had my first chance to really give my Mk2 some beans at Brands yesterday. Rear can squirm a bit under severe braking on uneven surfaces. This is braking that you shouldnt even dream of doing on the road - approaching Paddock at 100+mph (I didnt dare look down) for example.

The traction out of corners is simply awesome. I didnt get near the limit once on an exit. Ill be faster next time :devilish:. Overall id say the handing on this car is absolutely brilliant :D

Mid engined RWD... Its what all the fun is about!!! If we wanted something that drives itself would have been a sheep and went for another Evo:D
