I need someone to do me a big favour. I need a diagram/ drawing of the back of the inlet manifold of a 1.4 RT showing where the vacuum hoses and attachments go.
The story goes:
I've fitted a 1996/7 1.4 RT engine into my 1992 RT. After wiring it up and not checking that the looms were EXACTLY the same (the bloke I bought it off said they were) I managed to blow the ECU. Now I've got another ECU and reverted to the earlier loom.
The engine now turns over but won't start (also makes a few scary noises). Yesterday I managed to get it to almost start and it fired on two or three cylinders but would only hold with a bit of throttle.
Changed the spark plugs as they seemed suspect, but today got nothing. Checking around the manifold I noticed that several of the hoses aren't properly connected up, and the MAP sensor isn't fitted.
Anyone got any other suggestions as to what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance.
