Well, what happened was.................
I called them 8+ weeks ago due to the change in charges for NGN's. I never received the txt or email, so I presumed it was not going to effect my contract which was only renewed in April for 18 months, however I thought i'd try my luck and see if I could blag a new phone.
Was told I had to goto retentions.
They asked me about what the text said etc to confirm I had received it and I just read what I had read on forums which others had received. I was then asked if I wanted to upgrade or to cancel my contract. I choose to upgrade and said I would wait for the iphone.
Once the ipone was released I called them to order and was told that I should of responded by 28th Sept and i'd need to write to there complaints dept who would respond within 14days.
I never got round to writing my letter but thought i'd phone them and give them a mouth full anyway lol
Called and went straight to complints, explained the situation and told them I had not had a reply to my letter, which I sent 6 weeks ago and that I was demanding they cancel my contract here and now.
"Calm down sir, let me speak to my manager and see what we can do for you"
2 mins later
"I cannot cancel your contract, you would have to re submit that in writing, however I am able to offer you a free upgrade to any phone you wish. Would you still like the iphone?"
No thanks, can I have the N82 when its released next month.
"Ok sir, I have made a note of that on the system, and once we receive them you will get yours within 48hrs"
