FAO Recaro Owners...

Lets say the mechanism isnt as smooth as the OE seats lol

Started getting used to them now, the first test wasnt fair really as I'd spent 6hrs driving that day already.

Gave them a wee vac and wipe just now in the dark...they really are splendid. I just hope someone doesnt decide they really want them!

Already had offers of over £1k!

I can barely move mine. There's no room behind it anyway. I had someone in the back the other day and she had to go behind the passenger.

They do make the rears a waste of space.

They do tilt and slide. The main thing i have found is because they have a hard plastic back, there's less room for the legs of rear passengers. From a drivers point of view it does mean that it puts an end to having someones knees sticking in your back though :approve:

I have my drivers seat as far back as it will go so this generally means my car is a 3 seater as nobody can really sit behind me, although it was recently done.

I agree. If I could be arsed to get trophy door cards and rear bench I'd consider doing the deed. But I cant! So it will stay all nice and leathery for any midgets I pick up along the way.

Lee when you say you can barely move them...u mean the tilt slide? As mine stinks really. Bit of an effort!

The tilt is okay, the slide on the drives side requires me to wrench it back, making look like a t**t. The passenger side is easier, but then that one gets moved a little more often.

Have you noticed when you slide them right forward they crash into the center console around the gearstick and bend it out of the way?

Yep, mine are really stiff and almost lock when fully tilted foward. Also knock on centre console. Wouldnt change em for the world tho, best part of car imo.

even standard 172 seats i had to pull my drivers seat forward to get 4 in, all right for a trip to the cinema , but for up round the ring, in the same driving position as your mum, aint much fun, LOL I pull my seat forward at my own comfort's sacrifice, cos i'm kind and considerate, unlike Lee, that looks like he dont move his for no one.

Agree completly, they are stiff to move, especially when you only using one hand! I now have the art perfected by flicking the lever and using my other fingers to pull back the seat, but mine have def loosened up since i got them.

I only use my rear seats for clothes, they dont complain about the legroom, so i don't see the problem;)

  soon to be a 200
I have a bad back having injections in the spine at the moment and i find them to be the best seats i have used .

Nah, f*ck 'em  . It's my car and I wanna be comfortable!

Quick semi-related Q: do the Recaro's go any further back on the sliders than the standard 172 seats? I'm 6'2ish with long legs and only just about have enough leg room, but would prefer a little bit more...
