Fault Code Reader

What sort of fault code reader should i get to read a fault code on my 2002 clio, it has a problem with the coils and id like some more info from the car before buying anything. It also has SERV and an Airbag light. Any good machine that can sort these out.

Try one of these from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230684746170#ht_2343wt_936 , my friend swears by them. They come with a code guide etc so you know whats wrong.

The serv and airbag light needs a specialist tool, the above OBD reader will tell you the fault codes and clear them but not the others.

I had the SERV and Airbag lights come on the other day after fitting a set of mats, turns out I had knoocked the wiring plug beneath the seat which puts the airbag light on and the SERV light follows. Worth checking the obvious first, might just need the plugs pushing together properly.

I have a clio Expression 2001 1.2 16 valve and I bought A d900 from the link above it tells you info on screen too but wont reset abag lights.
worth having in car all of the time. I have an issue with misfire on car my reader said random misfire but when I took car to garage it shows up as cylinder number 2.
Some people buy a blue tooth one and use there phone but not tried this out my self.

my cousin has bought himself an accident damaged 2008 clio 1.5dci, and he also has a 2002 dci, and a traffic. His clio has an airbag light which needs reset, and a few issues on the traffic need looked at. As for my clio, my cousin put the passenger seat forward and the light disappeared, the plugs under the seat are at fault.

What is the renault fault code reader called, i have a peugeot and pp2000 is used for it, it works really well on peugeot/citroen cars but nothing else. Is there an equivalent thing for renault?

Do asearch the light coming on with the seat moving is a common problem and the fix is in the article i wrote about the issue.

As for the proper code reader the only realy good one is the renault one but its not cheap.
