Faulty CTS....?

Ok I have done a search but dont seem able to find a conclusive answer - my Clio (2003 1.2 16v Expression) seems to have a faulty CTS (coolant temp sensr ) as the fan remains on (with engine off) after only being a short distance and also struggles to start from cold on very cold mornings. What I need to know is whether this sounds like a faulty CTS and if so where can I get a replacement.... I have been on fleabay but they only seem to list ones for renaultsport clios - will this also fit mine? Also what should I expect to pay?

Could indeed be a faulty CTS yes but check one of the wires hasn't snapped or that its not just been unplugged by some pikey in the past. Renault will supply you a new one as the D4F uses a different type to the F4R.

Thanks for that MicKPM.....and just one more question(im a noob) Where can i locate the CTS? :S

On the D4F its slotted in to the thermostat housing which is properly hidden under the airbox on the right side of the engine.
