FCS - Group Buys/Disounts - Feedback Wanted Please..

Hi All
(Hope I am posting this in the right place - if not move me!)

We have recently joined the site after doing Clio Lanes full re trim.
I must say how impressed I am with the site and its content.Also the friendliness of the members compared to other sites and forumns I post on.(Mentioning no names!)
Anyway..we have decided to have a trade stand at FCS details of which I have been sorting out today.
We are going to bring 3 of our own modified cars (our own 5GT Turbo/A Peugeot 206(just about to be featured in FastCar Magazine)and hopefully Clio Lanes 172(Please say yes James - LOL)

We have done numerous Group Buys and discounts on some of the other sites for example Supra/St's etc..

These have included group buys on gaitors/steering wheel trims/seats etc.

So I am asking you for some feedback..I know not all of you are into our extreme mods..but thats not all we do..although i gotta admit..those are some of the most fun!

Let me know what you wanna see..

Looking forward to meeting you all at FCS - We're hoping to do some FCS discounts and offers but wanna know what you want - (Nothing silly!lol)

are you able do perform trimming on site? Could be interested as I migh need to retrim my door cards -could provide a pulling tool for yourself actually "doing" somehting on your stand ?

Nice touch - I think they were hoping for a day off though..LOL

I dont see any reason why small jobs couldnt be undertaken - depending on what they were etc etc and the time scale involved..I will have a word and see what I can find out for you.

Ok..I have had a word and they have said Yes - we can do this..However..full details of works have to of been agreed before the show..For example - Inserts only either in leather/alacantara - with or without stitched seems.
Would also have to removed prior to work commencing to save time..

Anyone else want anything done - you can but ask and we'll do what we can.

Hiya I would provide the material Its for front door cards to have the inserts and also a pod which will be built into the space where the speker grill would have been. The pod will be smoothed to the extent where it could be painted but I would prefer it covered.

the door card insert here plus the grill The grill will have a 6 1/2 inch pod in it which will be made from MDF and FG then smoothed with filler and sanded. The pod can come out of the door, it will be held on with screws so you cna remove to trim. The material will be slightly stretchy faux alcantara

I am aware of what you are saying and have spoken to the relevant people when we joined the site.
We have agreed to offer discounts etc to members and I have personally emailed the chairwoman and invited the local rep to come see us to see what else we can offer site members.We have done this in return for being able to post our details on the site like we do with other car sites.

But if it means that much i'll pay!

^ Thatta boy. As i said we need more business trade on the site from all angles of tuning. You cover an important aspect which no-one on here does.

sounds like a good idea i woudnt mind my steering wheel recovered but cant really take it off for fcs lol im sure there are a few mk1 172 owners who would like there steering wheels recovered as they scratch and scuff easily.

how much would that cost to recover??

We wont be doing wheels at FCS!Just offering a good price or group buy..
One of our wheels takes a day minimum as its all custom made and hand stitched..

emmm, i'll have to have a think, i'm sure there's something i want re-trimmed...Fancy something on the centre console (Somewhere to stick my ipod), gear stick and handbrake gaitor. But not sure exactly what! lol

Im sure the mk1 172 owners would like a group buy getting their steering wheel retrimed in leather or alcantara, ill put my name down as im sure gareth would, anybody else?

With out wheels you are getting customer made re trims to measure..

Everything is hand stitched and takes a minimum of a days work ..longer depending on the stitching and design etc..

You can have seems moved and we have special airbag thread which will break..

At FCS we are going to have pictures on our stand of a step by step process of how we trim wheels - you'll se the work and love that goes into every wheel we do..

Vinny is a total perfectionist and if he finishes a wheel and hes not 100% happy with the quality..it all gets unstitched and started again..such is his dedication to his trade..
