Maz said:Please can anyone who uses these pads tell me if they squeel (sp) when cold
Thanks
Loony said:The thing you will find Maz is that fast road/track pads will tend to create more dust be noisier and they dont work as well from cold so unless you drive the car hard all the time you wont reap the benefit of having them. They're designed to work better at higher temperature compared to OE pads and as such unless you get them to that temperature you wont benefit.
DarthCake said:TBH maz - they're going to squeel alot, be crap from cold and only any real use on track.
I recently replaced Ang's pads on her 182 with standard Renault ones. They're perfectly fine.
Dave3141 said:I have them, they do squeel alot, but after a few goes they are warmed up and are better than the renault ones. So good, I have to remember not to plant my foot as the wheels lock up.lol.

miketheman2k said:Had these on my 182 and they didn't squeal once - get them installed properly and you'll be ok.
They also worked better than the OEM pads from cold. Once warm they were just silly..the car would almost endo.
I'll be getting a set for the V6, no question.
I've not got one of these fancy fast Clios my car uses the Williams/1.8/5GTT pads which are cheaper 172/182 DS2500's are £85 I think.tri3 said:mine were close to 60 but i'm not from uk and the oe ones are in the 50s... so i can say that the ds2500 were a bargain for me
The 182's probalem is that the standard wheels don't let the brakes cool the old 172 wheels and turbini's were so much better cooling the brakes the dynmaic wheels are also good.Evil Ally said:I'm a track newbie as well, only been out twice. I was surpirsed how fast the OE pads faded. In fact brake fade was something the salesman warned me about on the 182s when I bought it! The second time out what I did was go on for 5 mins then come in for 2-3 mins to let them cool off. If your planning on tracking, I think uprating the brakes would be a good investment.
