excuse the wonky plate. It's not mint but it's very good. I have to remember it's now ten years old. Interior needs a really good clean. It's a odd colour, doesn't photo well but looks great in flesh.

Tracking is way out and wheels need balancing.

Epic, epic car mucho respect.

I'd have to loose the private plate though. Not too keen on plated that make reference to the car they are on.

Exceptional, Ant.

I know it was a USA/Canda only option but would you have had one with a 6 speed manual if you could?

I'd definitely have a manual over the auto box if they were available here, Due to the cost of them when they go wrong.

A mate had a properly clean and well looked after red saloon, Box shat itself and locked it into R on its 2nd or 3rd time out after he bought it. Gutted as it was a cracking example.

That looks great in the photos but must agree, looks better on the original plate

You said it's not mint? How? Anything you can do over time to get it back to it's best?

I think I can count the number of M5 estates I've seen on two fingers - this being one of them.

Must be very low numbers in terms of production. Either that, or they tend not to end up North!

Quick update after covering a few thousand miles.

Car is currently at BMW for a fair amount t of warranty work.

New rear diff
New aircon pump
New abs controller
New rear speaker
New side bolster in drivers seat

New sunroof once BMW have proven to auc that failure was not caused by corrosion.

All under one claim so one excess. As I have said before before, warranty on these is a must. All these issues popped up within weeks of each other. Parts with sunroof are approx 12k without labour.

I have been given a new 2 series convertible for a few weeks whilst work is completed. What a t**t wagon lol.

Still loving the car. Fitted new PSS all round, new steering wheel trim, and had alignment done along with service. Awesome machine.

This is hitting the nail on the head. I'm just glad you have warranty on it!

Epic machines but the above is why I've never had one.

Any idea how much the repairs would be from an independent specialist rather than a main dealer.

Obviously the sunroof and seat are a bit specialist

No idea, obviously if buying new genuine parts price should be much the same.

These are a cracking motor but the horror stories of problems put me off ever owning one! People seem to either go trouble free or have problem after problem

My E60 isn’t without it’s issues though

£12k under warranty? Surprised there isn't a max claim amount! That's absolutely awesome to have all that work done free of charge.
Who is your policy with, or did you buy the car from a BMW dealership and covered under them?

They will pay up to the price for the car when purchased and yes its BMW warranty under written via Mondial. Also covers wear and tare up until 100k!
