Yeah i no the first owner put it on there when he resprayed the engine cover iceberg silver i havnt taken it off coz i dont want it to rip the paint of and have to respray it, and to be honest its not really a fail issit! lets be honest who really gives a s**te!

would love to say, but i am well out of used car prices now..

i know the ass fell out of these price wise a little while back, i contemplated selling mine but i wasn't going to get what i wanted for it so didn't bother...still my opinion now.

if it has been very well looked after i am sure you can justify a price, dependent on how much you want to sell it and what you can sell it for / what someone offers its all down to you...

nah yer i understand its worth a hell of a lot more than its cash value but ive just lost intrest in it and thats not what owning a cars about, i dont hate it im just used to it now! With the arrivals of my mates st, rs focus, leon cupra r, s3 etc i feel its time to get a bigger more grown up looking car prob wont be as fun but still i won tget all the liluns at college asking me how much my body kit was and asking if its a 1.4! wikid cars though

Very tidy, People will pay the premium for a mint one, but you expect it to be on the market for a while until you get a good buyer.

They go very very very cheap, prices range from 1.5 - 3.5k, yours looks a goodun tho

Test the water, When i sold mine i sold it for over 4k and at the time ones with lower miles on newer plates were struggling to sell for 3.4k. A lot to be said for the condition of the car and in some cases the mod's too.

TBH I doubt you'd get much interest at £3k+ for a Y reg Ph1, no disrespect as it looks like it's a nice car, bar the fail badge lol.

I think you'd be better going below the £3,000 mark. £2,800 as a starting point at a push IMHO, remember it's an eight year old car and most people looking at Ph1s want an X/2000 for the cheaper tax band and pot luck of the alu bonnet. Plus you are going to only be appealing to a limited buyer market due to the, albeit mild, modifications. As the saying goes, it's only worth what someone will pay for it.

Don't let me put you off though, if you can pull £3.5k+ for yours it means mines gone up in value lol.

it only takes one person to like it and it will go... i'd price it above average if its mint and state that in the advert. tidy examples will always command a premium.

It's also forums like this that can help inflate the price of certain models beyond what they are realistically worth. Ph1 172s, Ph2 V6s, Valvers and Williams spring to mind.[/can o' worms]

It's all swings and roundabouts TBH, I suppose I'm just a realist when it comes to the value of cars...I was when I bought mine PMSL.

I would still be interested in some bits off yours if your interested in putting some things back to standard

its not a rarity but ive been led to belive there was only 99 ever registered in this country in iceberg silver so its not as common, mine also has the shift light and the year and reg is nothing special its just younger! think im going to sell it as a whole i will bare you in mind though if i dont

Its a nice silver with in some lights a tinge of blue, my camera is crap on my phone so I can never express its propper colour

If you are thinking of getting an audi or VAG car and you want to take it on the track, I found out that you can't left foot brake in them as it kills the power for a few seconds and the TCS never seems to be completely off...
I didnt find my leon cupra as interactive as the clio, nicer steering wheel though!

lol cheers mate, nah i put them on it was totally standard bar a full stainless stealth system when i got it. im not to sure wat i want i was looking in to ep3 type rs and nearly brought one the other day but now im not to sure?!

IMO - 3k is a touch on the high side.

Of course, if the belts have been done, the mounts are ok, it has immaculate bodywork and it's a drive and forget for ~12 months, that's a different matter...
