Filthy Carpets

OK, ive had my car just over a month now(has got 1500 miles on it) so naturally the interior was getting dirty. So today I went out to hoover it out etc. I took out the mats supplied when I bought the car and to my absolute SHOCK horror under neath was like a mudfield. Im not kiddin gwhen I say the carpet was THICK with muck. I thought id try hoover it out but its so penetrated into the carpet that it wont budge. Image acarpet in a mechanics office, thats what it looks like. Im sure you can undrstand that I am extemely pissed off so Im wondering what I should do to get it resolved. GO to the dealer and go mental or do it myself with some carpet cleaner? What would you guys do?

was the car new when you bought it, and were is the mud coming from, if its your shoes it wont be covered under warranty :p

I bought the car new. WHen i got the car it had mats fitted. SO my feet have NEVER been under the mats to touch the actual floor carpet. This is the area where the muck is. It has been completely hidden from sme since day one.

i think you will have a job convincing them its there fault this far on(worht a go though), unless you got a leak and its coming in from underneath, i would just clean it with a sponge, a bit of hard work and it will be back to new

It wouldnt surprise me if Renault hadnt left it in that state and just put the mats over the top of the dirt.

I left my Clio with them last week and it was spotless. Pick it up, covered in bird sh!t. They even just tried to use the wipers to get the sh*t off, had to nearly chisel it off. lol

Probably save yourself the hassle and do it yourself.

Assuming my post was deleted due to offensive wording. Apologies for any offence caused, apart from to whom it was directed.

Whats the warned post above mean though?!?!?!

  Shhh

You could take it to renault, but im sure the YTS lad doing the work would have less interest than you.

I would do it myself, try to get it into mud form again, and sponge it out..

Then get the vax on it, and there ya go..

renault wont do anything for you.

You should always have a GOOD look around the car prior to driving away.
