That is an easy way to work out the approx apr. have to say that 7% is not fantastic though. Have you looked around on the internet? should be able to get around 6-7 apr. even a dealer should be around 9% if you push them providing the car you are looking at is fairly new.

At the end of the day the bottom line total figure to pay is what matters.
i.e: borrow 6K, re-pay 7K
A low figure will often be bumped up by arrangement, facility fees, insurance etc.
Basically I paid £9800 from a Reno dealer (£10100 incl. all fees @ 3.4% APR) for a car listed at 11K (air & metallic) OR 3.5K deposit, £200 pm over 24, 1.5K @ end to own.
BUT the first figures they showed me (@ 3.4%) were close to 12K total!
It took some patience, but with all the extras taken off and a stubborn hour in the chair at the dealership, it paid off!!
