Find me an AMDSocket 939 4200 X2 1MBCache

ANYWHERE!!! AAARRRGGHH - i cant afford to go Core 2 duo at the momment so i just want to get a nice AMD alternative until ive saved enough - the performance gain alone from that chip would be huge compared to my single core Athlon 64 4000.

So can anyone find me one ANYWHERE?? i can only find the 512mb Cache one - and i really want the 1mb Cache version. It would appear that these are like gold dust.

IMO you arent going to see a massive performance gain as you put it, bear in mind a lot of stuff you are doing wont be using the dual cores, all you are gaining really is a 512KB cache upgrade, as 200HZ in the scheme of things is feck all.

Id say save your cash until you can do a proper upgrade

Get an Opteron 165 and overlcok it to 2.7 ghz like I have 1mb cache too..
