finding the problem

since getting my car, the steering and suspension just hasnt felt quite right,
ive been replacing/upgrading parts in the hope that it will cure it,
so far!

new top mounts,
new ball jounts,
new drop links
new (powerflex) wishbone bushes
New shock absorbers,

its has got progressively better with the mods, but still not perfect.

so i go to the wheel that feels the most unstable when loaded, (right wheel because the car feels "funny" when turning left). and it has some movement in it, asif the bolts are loose, not much, but you can feel the wheel clunking. after checking all the other bolts are tight, ive put it down to the wheel bearing!!

however, i stripped the hub off the car, and with the wheel off, the bearing feels fine, donsnt seem to have any movement in it, is this normal??

also, before anyone says, i have no idea what dead wheel bearings sound like,
and the noise of a fully stripped, dacatted valver would drown it out even if i did!

just wondered if its normal for a wheel bearing to feel competely fine once its off the car!! or should i be looking elsewhere for the source of the problem?

cheers
