I definitely remember mine - Scarabaeus. Playing at 9 years old, running around a maze with 'something' in the maze trying to hunt you down.

The basis of the game (iirc) was to find a section of maze that had a tiled-puzzle on the wall. Moving these tiles around with sliders enabled you to complete the puzzle, unlock the door and escape. All the while, you could hear this 'thing' getting closer.
Looks absolute bizz now - compared to the likes of F.E.A.R and stuff, but in it's day - it gave you brown-trouser moments....
