First Mods

Hello people.

I have just bought a Clio Dynamique 1.2 16v on a Y reg.
Ill post some pictures soon.

Anyway, what do you reckon for my first mods?
My insurance is mega high and Ive only been driving 8 months, so what mods do you reckon I can get away with or ones that wont up my insurance that much?
I was thinking maybe an air filter or induction kit? And a back box...
What do you guys think?

Cheers!

i suppose it also depends on your insurance company on how much theyll add on for mods.some companys arent bothered, others will charge you a fortune.

I meant BHP and performance of the car mate. Is there much difference?
How much did your insurance company charge you extra for an air filter?

yeah breakout cheers.

I saw this site before but didnt take much noctice but it rocks! Take it you own a clio then!?

And dont you worry that some nasty people will steal your car at a meet up?!

Well theres meets orgonised by members dont need to sign up for them, but events like Donginton last October were for members obv. came with two parade laps , parking in the paddock with all the race cars! and well a day of watching Clio Cup racing!

lol at nasty people stealing your car! nah you dont have to worry!

thats quite a bit, how much was your insurance to start with? can you have up to a certain amount of mods for that £140 extra or just them two

dont tell the insurance company of any little mods. you only need to worry if they send out an inspector but if you do any mods remeber to remove them. an induction kit can be removed and can get away with it but an exhaust you will have to be carfull of. wheels should be alrite i havent said anything and have also got an induction kit. try not to crash in the first place and your be alrite mate.

Jesus!

im with them, no mods yet though. didnt think they would actually cater for modded cars! the renault insurance was last year by far the cheapest quote i could find, plus they gave me extra ncbs for renewing with them which was nice.

Err we all try not to crash but they why we pay for insurance. Why pay for insurance and then invalidate it? Mods cannot be removed if your inhospital.

Take the safe option and tell your insurance company about all mods. Otherwise insuracne is a waste of money as its invalid.
