First MOT on friday!

Just out of interest, has anyone ever known a car fail its very first MOT??

mine sort of did.....went to the MOT with the spare wheel on, failed it for having diff size wheels on the same axle (15 on oneside and 16 on other)...even though the tyre profiles meant they were the exact same size...oh well

there seems to be a big variation between MOT stations. The one ive booked it in at, says he will pass it with my number plates on, even tho they dont have a postcode etc on them. Im expecting him to mention tyres, but they are all above the minimum marker, so should be fine.

The other sticking point may be the emissions, but i might just turn my Tunit down before, just to be on the safe side

give the car a good blast before you bring it in, mine passed but my grandads dci failed on emissions and you can imagine how he'd drive it...

I had my 182 booked in with Renault the last day it had warranty, so if it had any problems they could fix it! lol

i completely forgot about mine, as its not been on my "ticklist" for a few years,lol. Its over due by a few weeks apparantly. Otherwise, i would of done what you did,lol

I completely forgot about mine as well, new to this MOT stuff! Always had new cars! Thankfully Renault sent me a reminder through the post!

I wouldn't bet on that, I had my car three times in the garage and not once did I get a courtesy car, hell I didn't even get a lift home when the warranty work was being dond!

I'm sure your car pass first time, just make sure you check all the silly little things before hand, like wipers, bulbs etc. As you don't want to be paying dealer prices!
