Decided to do my mates 206 GTi 180 as he's selling it now and it needed to be de-swirled badly.

The paint turned out to be a right arse so i used 3M fast cut on it, finished and refined with IP and Final finish. 100% Swirl correction was pretty epic tbh. All topped off with some P21s as it works great on Blues.

Total time 9 hours.

No before pics since you've all seen swirls....

Impressed that you managed it in 9hrs. FCP is a difficult compound to work with due to the extended work time and dust! You using Rotary aye? I would of thought IP was enough cut on froggy paint.

LOL at Dust. f**king loads of the stuff. It looked like it had been snowing in his workshop.....

IP just wouldn't work fast enough. Using FCP saved a lot of time in the long run tbh.

No rotary just a random orbital sander i've adapted. It has a smaller orbit so it acts like a Rotary but its a bit safer.

After you had finished polishing did you wash to remove all the white bits?

Yeah a quick jet wash to removed the mountains of dust. Also got some 'Polish remover' from landrover for the plastics. Works great.

Nice results lad, which P21s did you use? The rebranded R222 stuff or their new "100%" carb wax?

About to complete mine for FCS and unsure on the toss up between Nattys Blue and P21s . . . !!

The old retro stuff. Don't get on with their new one. Doesn't look wet enough.

I have tried it. I borrowed some. It just didn't look right. Lasted longer than P21s though...

TBH you could use both. Quick glaze over with P21s at FCS. Thats what i did with my old GTi. Looked awesome.

Depends on what blue it is really. My GTi was fairly light so you could never get any depth with it. So i went for good reflections.
